Answer the following questions.

Ans: – In order to decide the right times for doing something, it is necessary to look into future, and that only magician would do. Therefore, the king was advised to go to magicians.

Ans: – No, none of the wise men won the reward. Because the king received all different answers, so he was not satisfied by them and gave them no reward.

(5) How did the king and the hermit help the wounded man?

Ans: – When the king and the hermit removed the man’s clothing. They found a large wound in his stomach. Then the king washed and covered it with his handkerchief, but the blood kept on following the king re-dressed the wound until it stopped bleeding. Later they took him to the hermit hut to rest and the king also brought fresh water and gave it to him.

(i) Who was the bearded man?

Ans: – The bearded man was the enemy of the king form others empire. He swore to revenge on him because the king his brother and seized all his property.

(ii) Why did he ask for the king’s forgiveness?

Ans: – As the king moved his life and cured him, he asked for the king’s forgiveness. The man went to take revenge from the king, but the king helped him and saved his life instead.

(7) The king forgave the bearded man. What did he do to show his forgiveness?

Ans: – He showed his forgiveness sending his servants and his own doctors to look after him. He also promised to give back the man his property.

Ans: – The first answer to his questions given by the hermit was that there is only one time that is important and it is ‘Now’, because it is the only time we have any power to act. The answer to his second question was that the most important person in the person we are with at a particulars moment, because no one knows what happened in the future. And in answers of this third questions, he said that the most important business it to do that person good, because we were sent into this world only for that one purpose.

The answer I liked the most in the first one because we only how that one time and that is now. The time has its power to act. So we live once and that time is ‘now’.

Speaking and Writing

(1) Imagine you are the king. Narrate the incident of your meeting the hermit. Begin like this:

The wise men answered my questions, but I was not satisfied with their answers. One day I decided to go and meet the hermit…

Ans: – who lived in a small forest and leads a simple life. He was known for his wisdom. I reached his hut alone, leaving my horse and bodyguard. The hermit was digging the bed, I went there in simple clothes and asked him to seek me answers of my three questions. But he continued digging the beds and ignored my questions. He was tired of digging so i asked to help him. He gave me his spade and I started digging. I repeated my questions again and again. But there was no response of him. Later the hermit pointed towards a bearded man coming to us.

(2) Imagine you are the hermit. Write briefly the incident of your meeting the king. Begin like this:

One day I was digging in my garden. A man in ordinary clothes came to see me. I knew it was the king…

Ans: – But I pretended to stay quiet. He same near me and asked me his three questions to answer it. I ignored his questions and continued digging the beds. He kept on asking me those questions and I did not response to him. Them I was tired of digging, seeing this, the king asked to help me by digging the beds instead to me. I handed over him the spade and he started digging. At the same time, while digging the king asked me the same questions again. But I remained calm and offered him to hand me over the spade if he was tired. He refused my offer and kept on digging the beds.
