Look at the pictures and answer.
(1) What can you see in Picture 1?
Ans:- In picture 1 we can see some men are filling the sacks grains, a women is tied those by stiching. Whereas some men are loading the sacks in the tempo and a woman seems to keep record of the sacks filled with grains. There is another woman in the picture who is picking leaves from the field.
(2) Look at Picture 2. What is the man doing with the wheat?
Ans:- The man is putting the grain into the machine that crushes it into pieces and grinded it that makes the fine flour.
(3) Look at Picture 4. Who are they? What are they doing?
Ans:- The man and the women in the picture are hoteliers. The man is making the dough for the chapatti and the woman is cooking it.
(4) What is the girl doing in the last picture?
Ans:- The girl is eating chapattis with some curry and chutney.
(5) What do you have along with chapatti?
Ans:- I always eat chapatti with dal and chutney.
(6) Have you seen a field? What was growing there? Speak about it.
Ans:- Yes, I have seen a field. There were corn plants all over the field. Once I went to my uncle’s house in a village there I saw the field of corn. The plants were a bit long.
The Big Laddoo
(1) Have you seen a big laddoo? How big was it? Did you eat it all by yourself? Tell your friends about it.
Ans:- Yes, once I have seen a big laddo in a competition. It was as big as a room. It was impossible for me to finish that all by myself, no one could eat that big laddo alone.
(2) Have you eaten anything that is very big? What was it? Talk about it.
Ans:- Once I ‘ve eaten a big icecream in a party. It was like a giant icecream. I could finish the icecream alone but my mother did not allow me to eat that alone as it could make me sick so I had to share that with my elder brother.
(3) What different kinds of laddoos have you eaten?
Ans:- I have eaten motichoor laddu, besan ladoo and boondi ladoo. Among these motichoor laddu is my favourite.
(4) Name a few things that are round in shape. Can you eat all of them? Write them in the correct column.
Ans:- Ball, sweet, globe, laddo, orange, ring, wheel, biscuit, coin, bangle, donuts, plums

(5) The child threw the Big Laddoo into the sea. What do you think happened to the Laddoo?
Ans:- When the child threw the Big Laddoo into the sea, the water splash all around, the fishes and the other water animals got frightened. But that made the child laugh.
Laddoos are sweets, commonly eaten in every house.
