Answer the following questions in one or two sentences.
(1.) Why was Kezia afraid of her father?
Answer: Kezia was afraid of her father because he was too strict to her. He always tried to find out mistakes on her and always scrolled her.

(2.) Who were the people in Kezia’s family?
Answer: Kezia had mother, father and grandmother in her family.
(3.) What was Kezia’s father’s routine
(ii) After coming back from his office?
Answer: After coming from office he asked for his evening tea and daily newspapers to her mother .He then asked for his sleepers and ordered Kezia to take off his boots.
(iii) On Sundays?
Answer: On Sunday lied down on the sofa and covered his faces with handkerchief .He also put his one fit on another and start shouting.
(4.) In what ways did Kezia’s grandmother encourage her to get to know her father better?
Answer: Kezia’s grandmother suggested her to go to the drawing room and talk to her parents. Again, she also suggested to make a gift for her father’s birthday .By doing all these things Kezia could know her father better.

(1.) Kezia’s efforts to please her father resulted in displeasing him very much. How did this happen?
Answer: Though Kezia’s father always got irritated with her, one day her grandmother suggested her to make a gift of a pin-cushion for her father’s birthday. Kezia started making it but her efforts turned into a big mistake. She filled the cushion with her father’s important papers. She was scolded by her father and punished by hitting on her palm with a ruler .Like this Kezia’s efforts to please her father resulted in displeasing him very much.
(2.) Kezia decides that there are “different kinds of fathers”. What kind of father was Mr. Macdonald, and how was he different from Kezia’s father?
Answer: Mr. Macdonald a loving father .He always plays with his children .He plays tag 5 and is very friendly with his children .But he is just opposite to the Kezia’s father .He never punishes his children like Kezia’s father. Kezia’s father never plays with her and always behaves harshly with her.
(3.) How does Kezia begin to see her father as a human being who needs her sympathy?
Answer: One day ,when Kezia’s mother and grandmother went to hospital to see her mother, Kezia was alone at home in the care of Alice, the cook of their house .As ,Kezia’s grandmother was not there ,Kezia had to sleep alone at night which was to scary for her. At night when she was left for sleeping on the bed alone by Alice she saw a nightmare and got horrified with it. But lately her father took her to his room in his arm and made her sleeping by his side. After few hours she started feeling comfortable. Her father told her to rub her feet against his legs and get them warm. Then Kezia ultimately understood her father’s real love for her. As he had to work heard every day, he got too tired and could not play with her. But actually he loved kezia very much.
