1.) Why was Dad sure he wouldn’t fall?

Dad identified himself as good climber, so he was sure that he wouldn’t fall.

Answer:
The plan A by Dad was that he brought a ladder from the garden shed and climbed unfortunately he slipped and fell down in the flower bed.

Answer:
Yes, plane C was a success, but when he got near the cat , the cat yelled and fell on the ground .And Dad got stuck up the tree.

At the very beginning of the poem, the cat got stuck in the tree and was unable to get down without help. Dad was very sure about himself to rescue the cat .But at the end of the poem, dad got stuck in the tree while the cat fell down on the ground safely.

Yes, I definitely think this poem as humorous. The lines like –
