Mystery of the Talking Fan Summary
The poem ‘Mystery of the talking fan” by Maude Rubin is a small poem about a fan which PS seen as a person.
The Poem consists of only one Para “once there . . . . . still as water’ the poet in the poem personifies the fan as a human being & calls the sound of a fan as an electrical chatter. The poet wanted to understand the meaning of the chatter but before that someone oiled the motor of the fan & the sound went away. The motor worked smoothly & the fan ran still as water moving but having no sound.
The poet very beautifully in his short poem gives importance to a fan who is a very important part of a persons day to day life.
