(A) Transportation system and traffic jams

Ans) Traffic jams are dependent upon transportation system. Lack of traffic rules, increasing number of population in the outskirts and suburbs of the city, increasing number of private vehicles due to the insufficiency of public vehicles are responsible for traffic jams.

 (B) Industrialisation and air pollution

Ans) Air pollution occurs due to Industrialisation. Air pollution, noise pollution and water pollution are clearly visible in the cities and one of the reasons behind these is industrialisation. Poisonous smokes and gases coming out from the industries are the main reason behind air pollution.

(C) Migration and slums

Ans) Migration is a major factor behind slum areas as it effects the urbanisation. Again because of urbanisation, the population in cities increases rapidly. Lack of housing facilities and economically weak migrated people are the reason behind increasing slums.

(D) Amenities and increasing crime rate

Ans) Population increases in urban areas due to various amenities and facilities, which are the results of urbanisation and cause of migration. But the people who have migrated do not always find employment in the cities. Some of them look for means to earn money through illegal ways. This leads to an increase in the crime rate of the cities.
