(b) I don’t think that the Emperor realised earlier that Abdul had great talent. If he had, then he would have made Abdul his courtier much earlier, instead of first making him a poultry keeper and then a librarian.
(3) Write a letter from Abdul to the Emperor requesting the Emperor to give Abdul a suitable job.

(4) Rewrite the play in the form of a short story.
Ans: – Once upon a time in the city of Baghdad lived a poor little boy called Abdul. He was so poor that his parents couldn’t afford to send him to school. But Abdul had a great zeal for learning’s.
Abdul was so intelligent that he soon picked up all the lessons and got the job of the library clerk. His dream was to be the king’s continue someday. After a long interview he was assigned the job of a hen keeper. A little saddened at not being appointed as a courtier Abdul still took up the job.
His knowledge had taught him that work is worship. He kept the hens with dedication. So he got all the leftover food of the palace and made mesh of it. This was fed to the hens. Soon their growth increased and the palace poultry was filled with healthy eggs and meat.
The king was very happy with his work and promoted him to be the royal book keeper. He dressed each book in a rich velvet or satin jacket. The king was delighted at ‘Abduls’ policy of ‘waste not want not’, thus out of his hard work and intelligence ‘Abdul’ become a courtier.
(5) Suggest at least one method of creating something useful or beautiful from waste.
Ans: – You can make pen holder with water cardboards. You can make flowers from sharpened pencil waste.
The waste bottles can be used as a container.
From used newspaper we can make crafts like flower vases, flowers, decorative anything’s, items, and many other things.
(6) Write how you take care of your books.

(1) Read with clear hands.
(2) Keep your books close to you.
(3) Turn page carefully so as not tear the pages.
(4) Do not draw, write in or colour in the books.
(5) Use a book mark.

(9) Avoid humidity and direct sunlight.
