(3) Write the following in short:
(1) The story of the three caskets.
Ans: – Portia’s father had written how Portia’s husband should be selected. He had set a best for her suitors. He had to choose between three caskets – one of gold, one of silver, and one of lead.
Each casket had something written on it. In which the correct casket have the portrait of Portia and wrong casket have the notice that you are a foolish. SO prince of Arragon and Morocco chose the gold casket so they did not marry with Portia or any girl for a life according to the lead casket as he thinks outer appearance may be deceptive as well that glitters are not gold and marry with Portia and live a good life.
(2) What the young lawyer pleaded.
Ans: – A young lawyer entered the court. He said that he would fight Antonio’s case. The lawyer pleaded that mercy is a quality of God himself. When a person shoes mercy to someone else, they both are blessed. Mercy was more valuable than a king’s crown.
(3) The events at the court.

Also, he should cut exactly one pound of flesh – nothing less, nothing more.
Shylock realized that to could not do what the young lawyer asked him to do, and he accepted his defeat.
(4) Write the conditions that Portia put down to warn Shylock.
