(2) Describe the following with the help of the story.

Ans: –

Thiruvalluvar: – Thiruvalluvar was a great Tamil. Saint poet who lived two thousand years ago. He was a textile weaver. He wove beautiful fabrics and sold them in the market. People said that he never got angry, never used bad words, never shouted at anyone. ‘Thirukkural’ is the book of his teachings. It is greatly loved and respected even today.

The rich young man: – The rich young man lived in the same town where the Thriuvalluvar lived. He did not believe what people said about Thirruvalluvar. He was a very arrogant man.

The fabric woven by Thiruvalluvar: – The fabric woven by Thiruvalluvar was very beautiful and was not made in a day. A lot of people had worked hard to make the fabric. The farmer, working through rain and sun had picked the cotton form each ball and given it for spinning. Someone else spun the cotton into long and uniform threads. The thread were then dyed to give them lovely colours. Lastly Thiruvalluvar and his wife wove the threads together and put beautiful designs on them thinking that someone will like the fabric and be happy to wear it.
