Q.) Go through the following web that highlights the essential qualities of a compere. Discuss with your partner the essential qualities and also the precautions that a compere should take while compering a programme.
Ans. 1) A good compere or MC should know how have control over strong emotions and do not it on stage.
2) He/ she should have a pocket full of good vocabularies.
3) A good MC should have the quality of making the audience feel light and comfortable with light humours and not making it boring event.
4) He/ she should be very attentive of his/ her surroundings.
5) A good MC should be very brief but lucid and shouldn’t go on time taking details which cause delays in events.

Ans. Events like prize distribution ceremony, music concerts at small as well as bigger level, dance competitions which are very common these days on national televisions, needs to have a good compere or host, who can take the show to another level with his/ her compering skills.
