Ans) Karl Marx formulated a new school of thought in the latter half of the nineteenth century. According to him human history is the history of class struggle, aboutliving people, not about abstract ideas. Human relationships depend on fundamental needs and the ownership as well as nature of prevalent means of production to meet those needs. But the condition is not equal in the society. This in equal division divide the society into classes and next leads to class struggle. Here the owner of the means of production always economically exploits the rest of the classes.
(2) What are the four characteristics of modern historiography ?

1.) The method is based on scientific principles and always form relevant questions.
2.) The questions are about the deeds of the members of ancient human societies of a particular period means anthropocentric questions.
