(a) Which factors attract more tourists in Brazil?

Ans) Factors responsible for the tourists attraction in Brazil are

Ans) We rely on the sea route for international trade because waterways are a cheap means of transport. Again it helps to carry heavy goods easily from one country to another.

(a) Water transport in the Amazon and the Ganga river.

Ans) Amazon river helps in water transportation and trading system in Brazil,while Ganga river transportation belongs to India. Amazon river helps in commercial trading system but 95 per cent of India’s foreign trade moves through ocean routes. Trading system of India is not much influenced by Ganga river.

(b) Communication in Brazil and India

Ans) In Brazil the most common method of transportation is roadways. But as compared to Brazil railways are very important means of communication for a vast country like India, where distances are large. Railways have not developed very well in Brazil. Waterways have been developed on a commercial basis in the Amazon River. Where as waterways are a cheap means of Transport in India, contributing about 1% to the country’s transportation.

(c) IST and BRT

Ans) IST stands for Indian Standard Time and BRT stands for Brazilian Standard Time.The difference between the two extreme most points in India is 2 hours or 120 minutes,while the difference between two extreme points of Brazil is around 168 minutes. (2 hours 48 minutes).India has only one standard time zone. The 82.5° E longitude is the Indian Standard Time (IST). Brazil has four time zones.
