a) What problems did Brazil and India face after independence?

Ans) Before independence India faced several problems like three major wars, great famine etc. and along with these India experienced its first independent sunshine on 15th August 1947. Flourishing with a grand economic developments and considering itself a major developing country India is still facing few major problems. Problem of unemployment among the youth is the major among those.

Brazil gained its independence in 1822 from Portuguese rule. But from 1930 to 1985, for more than a half century, it was under a populist military government and it was under global financial difficulties before late 20th century.

b) How are Brazil and India different from each other in terms of location?

Ans) India is under the southern part of the Asian Continent and Brazil is under the northern part of the South American Continent. India is located in the northern and eastern hemispheres of the Earth where as Brazil takes some part of the northern, southern and western hemispheres of the Earth.

c) Describe the latitudinal and longitudinal extent of India and Brazil.

Ans)  Main land of India lies under 8°4’N to 37°6’N latitude and 68°7’E to 97°25’E longitude.

Brazil lies under 5°16’20” N to 33°44’32” S latitude and34°47’30” W to 73°59’32” W longitude.
