Labelled diagram of Germination
Plant grow from seeds. The process by which a seed grows into a plant after obtaining all the right conditions is called germination. The things a seed needs for germination are air, water and heat. Each seed contains a embryo. Once the seed receives water and warmth, the embryo begins to grow and become a baby plant. Small parts start to grow and form radicles. The radical forms the root system. Plumuleform shoot system. Cotyledons provide food and plants keep growing. This is how germination takes place in plants. A seed contains a future plant or embryo that develops into a plant under the right conditions, this process is known as germination. Soak some seeds of Bengal gram overnight. Drain the excess water and cover the seeds with a wet cloth and leave for a day. Be careful not to let the seeds dry out. Carefully cut the seeds and observe the different parts.
