KVS Admission Process Class 1 to 12 2024

The government employees, but other people who include Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, General, and other backward classes can apply for KVS admission. Class 1 (I) KVS Admission Process
For class 1, online applications are there to fulfill your child’s details. The official website contains the information about KVS admission process for class 1. You can visit kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in for registration. At this point, you will get all the information that is required for admission to class 1. Our website can be viewed on a laptop or any other android mobile. Every class of Kendriya Vidyalaya has limited seats out of which some are available for the reserved ones. In the admission of Kendriya Vidyalaya School, the OBC-NCL has 27% of seats, the Right for Education has reserved 25%, SC has 15% and ST has 7.5 percent for the reservation category. There is one more category of Differently abled under the act RTE. This rule is followed by KV admission. One who is included in the ST/SC/OBC-NCL is also included in the Cat-1. Only approved classes have a reservation policy. And, they are allowed to fulfill the strength of 40 students per section. Which, 11 seats are there for OBC, 10 seats are there for RTE, SC has given 6 seats, and the ST category has 3 seats per section. Also, the Differently abled students have occupied 30% of reservations in the KVS. After the registration process, the Kendriya Vidyalaya follows different systems such as RTE lottery, All DA lotteries, CAT 1, CAT 2, SC, ST, OBC, CAT 3, CAT 4, CAT 5, and in case applicable CAT VI. There is no entrance test for class 1 admission. Online application is the only process that you need to do for admission to KV or Kendriya Vidyala.
Class 2 to 8 (II to VIII) KVS Admission Process
The Admission of class II to class VIII is going to be based on the Priority category system. The parents of students need to apply offline for this class admission. An admission test for classes 2 to 8 is not required to get selected. There are chances of a lottery system for these classes if the applicants will more than be offered seats. So, they will follow the lottery system for a large number of applications. The Single girl child quota candidates will be considered for the same.
Class 9 (IX) KVS Admission Process
The students need to appear for the entrance or admission test to take admitted to class IX or 9. A merit list is also going to be part of the admission process. In the admission test of KVS, the questions will be based on subjects like Hindi, English, Science, Social Science, and Maths. There will not be a separate paper for each subject. Only one paper will be there for the test and you should complete it within 3 hours. Each subject of the test will have 20 marks and there will be a total of 100 marks for the paper. Students should have scored more than 33% aggregate marks to be eligible to take admission to the KVS 2024. For the reserved ones (Like PH/SC/ST), 25% of aggregate marks are the basic criteria to qualify for the test.
Class 11 (XI) KVS Admission Process
Students are required to obtain good marks in the class X or 10 to get admission for the class 11 or XI. The Kendriya Vidyalaya or KV admission for class 11 will be based on the same to enter Commerce, Science and Humanities field. There are different criteria for all these streams. And, we are going to discuss it here. Students must have cleared their class X wit 55% aggregate marks to take admission for science stream. On the other hand, students should have passed the same class with at least 60% of aggregate marks to take admission for science stream. For the admission in Humanities stream, they must have cleared class 10 with passing marks.
Note: In case of vacancies, the authorities of KVS will select Non-KV students as well
Class 10 and 12 (X and XII) KVS Admission Process
To take admission for class X and XII in KV, students must have studied in the CBSE affiliated School. To take admission into class X or 10, students should have scored in class 9 with 55% aggregate marks. Moreover, students are required to achieve 55% aggregate marks to take admission to class XII or 12. Depending upon the strength of the students the admissions will take place. If the vacancies still exist, then other students will be given priorities.

Lot One |
As per RTE, the KVS authorities will fill 10 seats in class 1 per section. This will be fulfilled out of total 40 seats. Also, students of ST/ST/EWS/BPL/OBS –NCL/Differently abled will be part of this admission. |
Lot two |
The admission of class 1 will happen on the basis of Priority Category. The authorities involve Differently Abled (DA), OBC-NCL/ST/SC students for the admission in this Lottery. |
Lot Three |
According to the availability of vacancies, the department will fill rest of seats after the RTE and DA fulfilment. |
Lot Four |
The Differently Abled, ST, SC, OBS-NCL total seats will be counted. After the third lot, if the shortfall is seen then it will be fulfilled by the same reserved category students on the basis of priorities. |
Lot Five |
If the seats will not be filled till fourth lot then the students form Priority Cat-3 will be considered to fulfill remaining strength of students as per priority list of unreserved seats only. The seats of SC/ST/RTE/OBC-NCL if vacant then it will be not be fulfilled further. |
