A SONNET FOR MY INCOMPARABLE MOTHER

Answer: The poet is a mother now so she is thinking about her mother and the qualities that she would have in herself. Sacrifice, devotion, love are some of the best qualities which the poet’s mother has imbedded in her. Her mother loved her with a never-failing love. She gave her strength and security which made the poet strong.
2.) “You let me separate and let me free” – What is the meaning of this line?
Answer: The meaning of the line is that the poet’s mother set her free and gave her freedom to live her life. She gave her freedom to lead her life the way she wants and fulfill her dreams. This was the hardest thing she did, but it made the daughter strong and achieve her dreams. This shows how her mother didn’t put any restrictions on her.
3.) What does the poet say in the last two lines?
Answer: The poet is now a mother and wants to have all the qualities that her mother has. She wants to follow the foot-steps of her mother and wants to be like her. She tries her best every day to be like her mother and do the same things as her mother did for her.

Answer: I admire my mother the most in my life. She is the one who has been there in my thick and thin. She has always got my back and been there whenever I needed her the most.
