Answer:-
Various festivals are celebrated in India. Diwali, Holi, Eid, Ramdan, Lori, Krishna Janmashtami, Navrati, Ram Navmi, Dussera, Visakhi, Ganesh Chaturthi, Buddha Pournima, Onam, Pongal, Christmas etc.
Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated in our area together, that is lord ganesh is placed in the decorated pandal / Mandap and every one in the area worship, do Pooja for 10 days. Everyone together cones for the Arthi and bring Parsad from home. Various games are played at night after Arti.
The same way Holi is celebrated, the festival of colors.
Navrati is also celebrated with great enthusiasm. All the 9 days of Navrati is fasting period for most of the people. Krishna Janmashtami and Ram Navi , Hanuman Jayanti, Shiv Jayanti to celebrate the birth lord and great warriors. On Dussera , Ravan dahan is done to show the victory of truth.
During Christmas, we have a Christmas tree in our area so we decorate it and celebrate by gifting the presents to kids.
During Ramdan , we try to maintain silence and leave the muslim workers in area before 7 pm so that they can do their Iftari. Breaks are given to them for prayers.
All the festivals are celebrated with unity and peace. These festivals regardless of their religion, language and culture are celebrated together.
