ANS: The function of supreme court are :
ORIGINAL POWERS : Safeguard the fundamental rights of citizen, solve the disputes between union and state & between states, interpreting the provisions of the constitution, passing writs.
APPELLATE POWERS. It takes up appeals against the verdicts of the high court, other courts and tribunals.It also provides special direction to the citizens to file such appeals
ADVISORY : Supreme court act as a advisory body to the president when its seek its attention in the matters relating to agreements and contracts entered by government .

ANS: The functions of high court are as follow
ORIGINAL POWER: It supervises civil, criminal, naval, marital and contempt of court cases.
APPELLATE : It takes us appeals against the verdict of subordinate court in civil and criminal cases.
OTHER FUNCTION ; It supervise the working of lower court, to admit writ petitions to safeguard fundamental rights and legal rights of citizen.

ANS: Criminal court also known as District Magistrate Court. It came into existence in 1st April 1974.Session court is the highest criminal court in district level. The district judge performs its function. It takes cases like murder, robbery, dacoity etc , it also provides death sentence and life improvishment. An appeal may be to the high court against the judgement of criminal court.
