Q1. Write a   note on the growth  of geographical population of Karnataka?

Ans.  The population of Karnataka as per 2001 census was 5,28,50,562. Increase in population take place during 2001 -2011 80,80,142  persons. The growth rate during this period   is 15.67%.

Q2. Name the district with highest and lowest density of population?

Ans:  Bengaluru district has the highest population with 4378 persons per sq. km  where  as kodagu district has the lowest population with 135 persons per sq.km

Q3. Explain the characteristics of urban and rural population?

Ans:  Karnataka is the most urbanized state. urban population is more   higher than rural. Rural areas have 61.4% where as urban areas has 38.6%  persons.

Q4. Write a note literacy of Karnataka?

Ans:  literate people are more in urban areas than rural areas. Males are more literate {82.9%} in Karnataka than women {68.2%}.In case of district kannada district occupies first position with 88.6% literate persons, Bengaluru  district occupies  second position with 88.5% and Udupi  district occupies third position .
