A) Why is Africa called the Dark continent?

Ans:-After Asia, Africa is the largest continent in the world. It consists fifty two countries. There are plateaus, forests, desert like Sahara that are the obstacles for the continent to build it’s interior. That’s why Africa is called Dark Continent.

B) Africa is known as the Central Continent. Why?

Ans:-Africa is known as the Central Continent because of its location. It’s location is in between37 north and 35 south latitude and 17 west and 50 east. The Equator is passing through the center of this continent.

Ans:- Between two land, there is a narrow strip that connects two landmasses. It is known as Isthmus. The Isthmus of suez is the connection between Africa and Asia.
