A label is a control in VB. A label is made use to input the instructions and guides
to the user and to display the output result. Caption is the main property of label. To
show the data in the form of text and numbers, we have to make use of syntax label. Caption. it provides the facility of changing the caption in the properties window or
in the runtime. If we wants to add the labels in the form, then we have follow the below
steps :-
i) Click on the Label button. Now place the mouse cursor where you want to place the label in the form.
ii) Click and drag the in the place of the form where you want to put the label. You will see the outline of the object. When you leave the mouse button. You may see that label in the form are temporarily named as Label 1.
From the Properties window, you can change the caption.
iii) By making use of the Caption Property, you can type the new name (statement) for
the label. You may see that the new name that you have entered will appear on the label. Here, Label 1 is the caption that is been changed to the statement.
c) Solution:
In the form, combo box is used to show the items list with more options.
d) Solution:
The standard control for accepting input from the user as well as to display the output. It is sued for handling the numeric and text data but not the images/ pictures. By using the Val(text) function we can convert the string into the numeric data. During the execution the text in the text box can be changed.
e) Solution:
The difference between the List box and Combo box are as follows :-
i) List box :- In this box, a list of items can be displayed. You need to select the item from the list. For adding the items into the list, you can make use of the Add item method. There is no limitation in selecting the option (i.e is you can select many options) from the list. We can’t make changes in the information at the time of execution. Two facilities (i.e is drop down and drop up ) facility is available. In list box, we can make use of check boxes.
ii) Combo box :- In the form, combo box is used to show the items list with more options. The items that are in the drop-down list can bee seen, for that the user needs to click on the small arrow head which is on the right side of the combo box. For adding the items into the list, you can make use of the Add item method. There is a limitation in selecting the option (i.e is we can select only one option) from the list. Information can be changed during the execution of the program. Only one facility is available i.e is drop down. Using of checkboxes are not allowed in the combo box.
f) Solution:
Here, you find the object properties. If you need to find the properties of any object like form, text box, label, image or command buttons, you just need to click on it as per your requirement. After which you may find, that the objects properties will be displayed in the properties window.
g) Solution:
As we are aware that If-then Else is a statement. This statement is made used to
checking/testing the conditions. The Then statement is run if the defined/ stated condition is True whereas Else (If there are any) statement is run, if the stated/defined condition is False.
h) Solution:
Loop is the sequence of the one or more statements that can be executed one or
more time. Till the certain predefined condition is met, the repetition of loop statement
continues. DO-WHILE & FOR NEXT are the two types of looping. DO-WHILE statements are made used when we don’t know the actual number of times the execution of statements should be repeated whereas FOR- NEXT is used to repeat the number of times, the statement is to be executed.
Q5) Application Based Questions :-
