browser how the contents in the web pages should be shown. The web pages on the
internet are linked with the help of HTML. The files/ documents are in HTML are always

In HTML, the special instructions are written in text form are to be termed as Tags.
The instructions in the tags are been specified by the angle brackets < >. This tags
helps/guides the web browser how to show and organize the text, images and other
contents in the web pages. Some tags have both open and close ended tags. These tags are also called as container tags that affects the text between the tags. The closing tags are been closed by adding a forward slash (/) symbol. The tags which have only open tags are known as empty tags. You may use any cases (upper case and lowercase characters) for typing/ defining tags. But mostly writing the tags in the uppercase are mostly preferred. There are two types of tags in HTML language which are container tags and empty tags.
i) Container tags :- In container tags there are both tags are been used i.e is starting and closing. The tags are opened with just angular bracket ( < >) and closed by angular brackets along with forward slash ( </> ). For ex :- Starting Tag means Opening Tag Ending Tag means closing tag < / HTML >
ii) Empty tags :- In this type of tags there is no need of closing/ ending tags, they have only opening/ starting tags. For ex :- < BR > Starting/ Opening tag.

the topic or theme.
iii) Organize information :- Whatever the information is collected, that information
must be splitted into different/ various parts. The separated part of information
must be placed on the separate webpages. Where each page should contain the

have to keep in mind that the image that we are willing to insert in our webpage
should not be copyrighted.
vi) Add Hyperlinks :- You can also add hyperlinks or links that any reader can select on
your webpages, and can display other pages on the web. Readers can easily
browse/search for the information of their interest with the help pf links. Links can
be in text or images which helps to display another page on the web.
vii) Publishing of webpages :- Once you are done with creating your webpages, now
its time to send the webpages to the computer system which will make your
webpages online available. Cross the webpage again, whether the links you
