See-saw-seen, drink-drank-drunk, sing-sang-sung, give-gave-given, take-took-taken, throw-threw-thrown, show-showed-shown, begin-began-begun etc.

I saw this bird before flying in the sky. (past)

I have seen the girl in the market. (past participle)

iv) In some irregular verbs the past form is made by changing the vowel inside the first form.

Ex.

Speak-spoke-spoken, do-did-done etc.

He did the job well. (past)

He has done his part in the group project. (past participle)

v) We cannot predict the past forms of the irregular verbs which can be in any form of spelling.

vi) It has been found that the past forms and past participle forms are not always alike like regular verbs.

Ex.

Break-broke-broken, steal-stole-stolen, choose- chose- chosen, weave-wove-woven etc.

He broke the grill and fled away. (past)

He has broken his new toy. (past participle)
