An Informal Letter is a type of unofficial letter. It is used to write to our close ones like friends, family or relatives. The main purpose of this letter is to use it as a personal letters that are not used for official purposes. We use an informal letters to ask and communicate with our friends or family members. Basically informal letters are written in an  un- familiar or gossipy tone having a format. In informal letters your written language is more friendly and loving as compared to formal letters language. Informal type of letter is also called as a friendly letter.

We do not require to maintain the formal tone in this letter rather we can use our thoughts and emotions to include words.
