Habitat

Habitat can be defined as the environment where basic need of an living organism is completed. It is a natural area where living things are living. The basic need of every organism is food, space, water and shelter. Living things can be live in area where they have suitable environment. For example : suitable environment means light, temperature and rain must be present in normal amount. There is great variety of living things on earth and every living thing have different habitat according to their body need. Some living things need cold condition and some need very hot conditions, Many of the living things live in medium condition of temperature , rain and light.

In some areas of earth there is raining of entire year but some areas where there is no raining even in one month, so organisms living in their suitable environment called as home or habitat.

Habitat is the place where organisms live. Now, the earth has various living organisms like fishes, birds, animals and human, but every organism have different home or habitat.

For example : Fishes lives in water therefore their habitat is water.

So, there are different types of habitat.

1.) Terrestrial habitat

2.) Aquatic habitat

So, every organism lives in their suitable environment. Some lives on land called as terrestrial habitat, whereas some lives in water called aquatic habitat.
