As we all know that our country India is a full of festivals and rituals. There are so many festivals is celebrated in our country. The Ganesh Chaturthi is also one of them. In Hindu religion this day is considered as a very significant day. As per the Hindu mythology it is believed that during the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi the positive energy which is known as Ganesh Tatva is more present on the earth and it is more easy to experience that. As we all know that lord ganesh who is the younger son of lord shiva and goddess Parvati. There are so many beautiful things that symbolises by the lord Ganesh or Ganapati. For example, ” gana ” which means the atoms and Ganapati is reffered as the force that keeps the atoms together. As we can see in this whole beautiful creation where all the atoms and the substances acts as per their qualities to keep their balance that governing the energy is called as Ganapati or Ganesh and it is so vast and so big to manage as well that’s why the lord shiva gave him the head of elephant. Because the elephant is the biggest animal. Apart from this the another symbolism that can be found is that it is believed that the lord ganesh has the full knowledge like his intellect it is so expanded such an expanded awareness as well. Hence, the lord Ganesh got the biggest head that was the head of an elephant. This festival is also known as Vinayak Chaturthi. This festival is celebrated by the devotees from all over the India very uniquely and on a grand scale and also by the devotees in many parts of the world. This festival comes once in a year in the month of Bhadrapada as per the Hindu callender. Just because it comes on the 4th day that’s why it is called as Chaturthdashi or chaturthi as well. So on the fourth day of Bhadrapada month once a year it comes hence this is specially dedicated for the adoration and worship and also remembering to the lord Ganesh. In Hindu religion it is belived that the lord Ganesh is the remover of the obstacles. Hence, on this very ospicious day people bring the idols of lord Ganesh to their homes and do worship for 11, 3 or 9 days according to their faith and beliefs. The devotees across the india of Lord Ganesh worship the lord Ganesh with great excitement and the enthusiasm as well. All that rituals and the customs is followed by the devotees as well. The worship is started by doing the pratisthapana of lord Ganesh . During this festival devotees do worship of lord Ganesh at two times a day. Like at morning and at evening as well. They offer to Lord Ganesh Durva which is made by green grass, various beautiful flowers and the mala, dhup, deep, and the most famous delicacy which is one of the favourite feast of lord Ganesh that is modak. And after performing the ritual of arati they distribute the modaks among the devotess as well. At the last day of this a very auspicious occasion the idol of lord ganesh is brought to the water for the immersion . The devotess do the arati at that place and by saying “Ganapati Bappa Moraya, Pudhachya Varshi Lawakar Yaa ” say good bye to Lord Ganesh. This is how the festival of Ganesh chaturthi celebrated by the people from all over the India.
