Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme Essay : The direct benefit transfer account is an initiative by the government of India to directly transfer the benefits or any scheme to the beneficiaries account. Initially the individual was expected to deposit the complete amount in the required subsidy would be re-transferred into his account at a later stage. This programme was initiated by the UPA government on 1 January 2013.
