A single celled organism or prokaryotic microorganisms which are lack of cell structures and nuclei and many bacterium are known as Bacteria.

Living or non-living

2. These are considered as non-living organisms. These are considered as living organisms.

Cell

3. Viruses do not have cells. Bacteria are single celled organisms.

DNA or RNA strand

4. In the viruses, RNA strand or DNA strand is present. In the bacteria, a single circular chromosome is present.

Infections

5. The viruses are responsible to cause systematic infections. The bacteria are responsible for causing localized infections.

Size and Visibility

6. Size of virus is small and visible under electron microscope. Size of bacteria is large and visible under light microscope.
