1. Veins help to carry blood towards the heart of the body. Capillaries are the link or connection between vein and artery.
2. Semi lunar valves are present in the veins and they prevents back flow of the blood. Semi lunar valves are absent in the capillaries.
3. Blood pressure in the veins is low. Blood pressure in the capillaries is falling.
4. Outer and middle coat are present in the veins and are thin. Outer and middle coat are absent in the capillaries.

6. Diameter of lumen of veins is wide. Diameter of lumen of capillaries is extremely narrow.
7. Layers in the walls of the veins are of three types and it includes tunica adventitia, tunica media and tunica intima. Layers in the walls of the capillaries is only one type and it is tunica intima.
8. Small amount of muscle and elastic fibres are there, No muscles and elastic fibre is included.
