1. Pistil mainly contains style, ovary and stigma. Stamen mainly contains a filament and pollen-containing anther.
2. Gynoecium is the other name for pistil. Androecium is the other name for stamen.
3. Pistil is a female reproductive organ of the flower. Stamen is the male reproductive organ of the flower.
4. Pistil contains total three parts and are stigma, style and ovary. Stamen contains total two parts and are anther and filament.
5. Pollen grains reaches the stigma where germination of pollen grains takes place after dispersion and during pollination.

 

Dispersion of pollen grains of stamen takes place during pollination.
6. Pistil mainly produces ovules. Stamen mainly produces pollen grains.
7. Pistil mainly found at the centre of the flower and it bears number of ovules in the ovary. Stamen mainly found outside the pistil and pollen grains are produced by the stamen.
8. Stigma of pistil captures pollen grains. During pollination, pollen grains release to the environment.

  1. number 3 is wrong. pistil is the female structure of the flower while stamen is the male.
