1. An organ system which contains network of specialized cells and it is known as neurons, actions of an animal and transmission of signals are coordinated with the help of neurons between the different parts of its body, and this is referred as Nervous system. A system which regulates the activity of cells or organs and is composed of glands that secretes or produces hormones or chemical substances into body is referred as Endocrine system.
2. Nervous system is mainly composed of Central nervous system (CNS) and Peripheral nervous system (PNS). Endocrine system is mainly composed of thyroid gland, adrenal gland, parathyroid gland, ovaries, testes, pancreas, and hypothalamus.
3. Nervous system mainly composed of nerve cells. Endocrine system mainly composed of glands.
4. Transmission of signals takes place through nerve cells. Transmission of signals takes place through the blood.
5. Heartbeat, memory, senses, speech, muscle movement and digestion all are controlled by the nervous system. Glucose level, heat productivity, sexual maturity, production of gametes and growth all are controlled by the Endocrine system.
