Definition

1. A tissue that is made up of actively dividing cells and its capacity of division is restricted to certain parts of the meristems, this is called as meristematic tissue. A tissue which consists of parenchyma, collenchyma and sclerenchyma but periderm, vascular tissue or epidermis are involved, this is called as ground tissue.

Involves

2. The Storage support, regeneration and photosynthesis all are involved in the Ground tissue. The primary growth of the plant is involved in the Meristematic tissue.

Made up of

3. The Ground tissue is made up of parenchyma, sclerenchyma and collenchyma. The meristematic tissue is made up of parenchyma cells.

Ability

4. This tissue don’t have ability to divide actively. This tissue have ability to divide actively.

Occurence

5. This tissue mainly occurs between the vascular regions and the dermal of the organs in plants. This tissue mainly occurs in the buds, roots and tips of shoots.

Types

6. Types include parenchyma, sclerenchyma and collenchyma. Types include apical, lateral and intercalary meristem.
