1. The ductless organs which produce termed hormones, substances that are released into circulatory system is referred as Endocrine gland. A pea-sized gland which weighs 500 mg located within a bony structure and at the base of the brain is referred as Pituitary gland.
2. All the endocrine glands are located in the brain of the human body. Pituitary gland is mainly located at the base of the brain in the human body.
3. Endocrine gland is mainly divided into eight parts. Pituitary gland is mainly divided into three parts.
4. Parts of endocrine gland includes pituitary, thyroid, hypothalamus, the ovaries, the testes, para-thyroids, adrenals, and pineal body. Parts of pituitary gland includes the anterior lobe, the posterior lobe and the middle lobe.
5. Functions of endocrine gland includes, metabolism, mood, sleep, development and growth, emotions and sexual functions. Functions of pituitary gland includes blood pressure control, breast milk feeding, and temperature regulation etc.
