1. When digestion occurs in stomach, food which it digest comes from the mouth. When digestion occurs in the intestine, food which it digest comes from the stomach.
2. In the stomach digestion, stomach is a muscular sac. In the intestine digestion, intestine is a narrow, long and a folded tube.
3. In the stomach, it stores food for four hours. In the intestine, it does not store food at all.
4. Digestion in stomach is a part of stomach and it carries proteins to the stomach with the help of gastric juice enzyme. Digestion in intestine takes place with the help of intestinal juices action.
5. In the stomach digestion, digestion of proteins takes place. In the intestine digestion, digestion of fats and carbohydrates takes place.
6. In the stomach digestion, secretion of hydrochloric acid, pepsin, intrinsic factor, water and mucous occurs. In the intestine digestion, secretion of lipase, bicarbonate ions, amylase, trypsin, peptidase, nuclease, nucleosidase, maltase and bile occurs.
