Mass number

The number of proton present In an atom is known as Atomic number. The sum of number of proton and neutron in an atom is known as Mass number.
It is the total number of proton in the nucleus. The weight of electron is very less so the atomic mass of an atom is equal to its mass number.
The atomic number is denoted by Z. The mass number is denoted by A.
It is help to classify and identify the element. It is not to define the type of element.
Atomic number is a digit which is use for placed the element In periodic table. The mass number is measured by using atomic mass unit (amu).
Isotopes share only the same atomic number. Atomic mass is use to classify the different isotopes of same elements.
The isobars have different atomic number. Isobar have same mass number.
