1. Acute disease is defined as a type of disease which can begin rapidly and have intense symptoms, and disease lasts for just a short time. Chronic disease is defined as a type of disease which can be mild severe or fatal and disease lasts for a long time.
2. This disease lasts for a short time. This disease lasts for a long time.
3. A person with acute disease will not fell tiredness all the time. A person with chronic disease will feel tiredness all the time.
4. Weight-loss of a person (With acute disease) does not takes place. Weight-loss of a person (With chronic disease) takes place.
5. Short term effects are shown by the acute disease. Long term effects are shown by the chronic disease.
6. Beginning of the acute disease is rapid. Beginning of the chronic disease is gradual (Up and Down).
7. Examples of Acute disease are :

Asthma, common cold.

Examples of Chronic disease are: Cancer, Diabetes etc.
