Crying Summary Class 5 Chapter Four Poem by Galway Kinnell
‘Crying’ is a simple & beautiful piece written by Galway Kinnell in which the poet highlights the fact that crying can even bring happiness to a person.
The first two lines of the poem “crying only a little bit ……soaked” highlights the message that one should not rest rain himself from crying or should not keep the sadness in his heart, rather he should cry his heart out until the pillow is completely drenched with tears.
The fourth & fifth of the poem “Then you . . . . Splash” brings the happier side of a person. After the person has completely done with his crying he can jump into the shower. As the water droplets fall in his body the person becomes relaxed & happy. Splashing the water brings excitement & happiness to him.
The sixth & seventh lines of the poem “Then . . . ….. There” means after your heart is happy & light we can open the window soothe our minds. People might find it strange & question you but we must not pay attention to the questions of the people & enjoy, because sadness was there in the heart till the last tear which one just got wiped up.
The poem is a beautiful piece giving a good message of never storing the sadness one’s heart, rather crying & making our heart feel lighter which can provide us a better outlook to see the beautiful world.
