In our day to day life, we need necessarily electricity for home appliances like in summer there is so hot in our surrounding. For cooling we switch on fan, Cooler and AC etc. For lighting in our home and strite we just click on a switch and light gets glow. Why did this happened? Because of electricity and this electricity is produced by an electric circuit. We know that how bulb is glow. When bulb is connected to a cell through wire with their respective terminals, bulb starts to glow. This system is exactly fixed in electrical boards. Now we learn about close electric circuit and open electric circuit.

Take two copper wire, bulb, an electric cell, a switch/key. Positive terminal of an electric cell is connect to positive terminal of bulb, negative terminal of bulb connect to one end of switch/key and another end of switch /key connect to negative terminal of an electric cell. Now electricity is flowing through a circuit and bulb is starts to glow, this circuit is said to be closed electric circuit and if wire is disconnected with switch or key is open then bulb does not be glow because there is no electricity flowing through a circuit then it is said to be an open electric circuit
Q1 Why we used switch in an electric circuit?
Ans : A switch is used to complete or break an electric circuit to use an electric appliance.
Q2 Is only an electric cell used for the current flow in the electric circuit?
Ans : No. Only an electric cell does not used to flow of a current in an electric circuit, we used batteries, generator, motor etc also.
