I) Northern Plain is situated over the river which is flat in shape.

ii)Land of this Plain is very fertile for cultivation of crops hence overall growth of peoples are takes place in  Northern plains Hence, large number of people live in the Northern plains.

(g) Why is Lakshadweep known as a coral island?

ANS:

I) Lakshadweep is located in Arabian Sea.

ii) It is made up of corals in the coastal plains for this reason Lakshadweep known as a coral island.
