A calendar is a structured organisation of the days, weeks, and months that makes it simple to identify the date, week, or month of a given day. Finding a specific day on a given date when a reference date is given, finding a specific day on a given date when a reference day is not given, and ultimately determining a weekday based on another weekday are all examples of the many types of questions from the calendar reasoning section.
There are 365 days in a typical year if you add up all the days on a calendar from January to December. But every four years or so, February has 29 days as opposed to 28. There are 366 days in a year, then. It is referred to as a leap year.
Now let us see this with an example:-
1.) If 11 August 1993 is Saturday than what is the day on 11 August 1998.
1993 – Saturday
1994 – Sunday
1995 – Monday
1996 – Tuesday
1997 – Thursday (Leap year)
1998 – Friday
For ever new year we will add 1 day and for leap year we will add 2 days that is every 4 years.
First we will find out the difference between 1998 and 1993.
And that is 5 years difference.
In this 5 years 1 year is leap year , so we will add 1 day
That is 5 + 1= 6.
11 August 1993 is Saturday so we will count 6 days after Saturday
And it is coming Friday
2) If 20 september 1996 is Thursday than what is the day on 20 september 2000.
For ever new year we will add 1 day and for leap year we will add days that is every 4 years.
First we will find out the difference between 1996 and 2000.
And that is 4 years difference.
In this 5 years 1 year is leap year , so we will add 1 day
That is 4 + 1= 5.
20 september 1996 is Thursday so we will count 5 days after Thursday
And it is coming – Tuesday
3) 15 August 2008 is Saturday than what is the day on 15 August 2015.
For ever new year we will add 1 day and for leap year we will add days that is every 4 years.
First we will find out the difference between 2008 and 2015.
And that is 7 years difference.
In this 7 years 1 year is leap year , so we will add 1 day
That is 7 + 1= 8.
15 August 2008 is Saturday so we will count 8 days after Saturday And it is coming – Sunday
