Blood Vessels

Blood Vessels :

Human is made up of various organs which perform the different functions in different system. That systems work differentially to carry out particular function . Did u all ever think that , this all systems needs energy to work out i.e excretory system , circulatory system , digestive system , respiratory system etc and the energy is provided by the blood as it contain oxygen , vitamins , minerals , nutrients , etc .But can u have question that How help the blood to reach to the organ systems ? Yes , the blood vessels helps the blood to reach out all organs of the body .Now what is blood vessels ? Blood vessels are pipeline structured which  has a certain role in circulatory system .The blood vessels help the blood to circulate all over body .The heart is the master of all blood vessels as it carry carbon dioxide to heart from all body parts and after purification it carry oxygen from heart to deliver all body parts. There are different vessels which differentiate on the basis of what type of blood they carry. There are three types of blood vessels i.e arteries, veins , capillaries .

  • Types of blood vessels :

1) Arteries :

Arteries are smooth and stretchable in texture .It is pipe like structured .It is thick and It transfer oxygenated blood throughout the  body ,lungs and heart .Only pulmonary artery present in human carry deoxygenated blood to lungs from heart .

2) Veins :

Veins are smooth and stretchable in texture  .It is pipe like structured .It is thin and it transfer deoxygenated blood throughout the body ,lungs and heart .Only pulmonary vein present in human carry oxygenated blood from lungs to heart .

3) Capillaries :

Capillaries are very minute and tiny tubules . It is very small and helps to carry blood to cells and tissue .The division of artery and vein into small tubules is converted into capillaries .It is infinitely present in human .
