Answer: The guard paid no attention to Sudama when he reached at the Palace of Krishna. The guard didn’t believe that this ragged person can know their king.

Answer: When Krishna heard Sudama’s name then he became very pleased and rushed to the gate to greet and welcome his childhood friend. He welcomed Sudama in his place.

Answer: When Sudama reached at the palace of Krishna he ashamed by seeing his big palace, he felt very small and hesitated to talk the purpose of his visit. Sudama was not happy to visit his friend in his poor condition, he visited to Krishna because his wife asked him to do so. Due to his self-respect Sudama didn’t tell the purpose of his visit.

 

2.) In what way did Krishna help his friend?

Answer: Sudama didn’t tell the purpose of visit even though Krishna understood it and turned Sudama’s hut into a big palace and also provided good clothes, Krishna also provided food to his family. Thus, Krishna helped Sudama without Sudama telling him anything.

 

3.) How did Krishna understand Sudama’s need?

Answer: Sudama was not willing to visit Krishna but Sudama’s wife insisted Sudama to meet Krishna and ask some help. Sudama met Krishna but hesitated to tell him his problems, he just gave parched rice to Krishna given by his wife. Sudama was wearing ragged clothes and looking poor, this condition of Sudama explained Krishna the circumstances of Sudama and thus Krishna understood Sudama’s need.
