Ans:  According to Keats, the sweet dove died due to grieving.

Ans: The bird lived alone on the trees of the forest.

Ans: The bird grieved because it lived all alone on the trees of the forest.

5.) How does the poet lament the death of the bird?

Ans: The poet lament the death of the bird by providing all possible ways of luxuries to the dying bird. The poet kissed the bird, and even offered some white peas for the bird to eat. But, the bird had already died.

6.) Explain with reference to the context

“I kiss’d you oft and gave you white peas;

Why not live sweetly, as in the green trees?”

Ans: In these lines, the poet, John Keats, wanted the bird to live. He couldn’t understand why the bird had to die. He even kissed the bird softly and give it white peas to eat. But, the bird had already died before receiving those amenities. The poet also confronted the bird by asking why couldn’t it live happily in the sweet trees, and why did it had to die so soon.
