The bar figure shows that both the male and female IMR have steadily declined. In 2003, the male IMR begins to fall precipitously. The year with the greatest gap comparing male and female infant mortality rates is 2003. The fall in the IMR indicates how parents’ attitudes have shifted over time. If there is a considerable difference in IMR between the sexes, one gender will remain single and the family structure will be imbalanced. Females are seen negatively by parents. It is difficult for them to educate and marry them. They are incapable of furnish the men with dowry. As a result, the overwhelming majority of parents do not desire female children.The infant mortality rate (IMR) of women is higher than that of men. The parents’ altered attitudes, due to changes in society, are the primary cause of the decline in IMR throughout time. This is partly due to improved medical services and a rise in the literacy rate among young girls. After 5 years, I believe the IMR will continue to decline.
