I.) Answer the following questions:
1.) Who do you think is the speaker in the poem?
Ans: The school boy

Ans: “I scratched myself when I woke up,” implies that the speaker was simply dreaming.

Ans: The speaker felt foolish since he realised he had not really gone on almost any adventures but had merely fantasised about an unpleasant adventure.

Ans: Instead of fantasising about nefarious escapades, the speaker eventually wanted to attend school.

Ans: Yes, one day me and my friend went for a long walk, but we forgot the route to return home. Amidst, all the new streets we went in to a fair, enjoyed a ride on the ferry’s wheel, and threw darts to win prizes. While finding the street way back to home, we played football on the streets, and finally after walking for 2 hours and enjoying our journey, we eventually returned home.
*6.) Do you think the title ‘My Nasty Adventure’ is suitable for this poem? Give reasons. Give your own title and tell the class why you have chosen it.
Ans: I believe it is appropriate since a 12-year-old kid slept daydreaming about an experience landing off of an aircraft using a parachute. It would not be conceivable in his actual real life.
My own title is ‘The Kid’s Fantasy,’ since what the boy imagination was impossible that he could achieve. Fantasies claim that dreams will not actually happen in the life.
7.) Why is the poem titled ‘My Nasty Adventure’?
Ans: The poem is titled ‘My Nasty Adventure’ since a youngster who wished to embark on adventures dreamed about jumping out of an aircraft with a parachute. This couldn’t occur in real life for such a small boy. So he imagined of a mischievous experience. As a result, the title is appropriate.
