TYAGARAJA, THE IMMORTAL MUSICIAN

C.) Tyagaraja, the Immortal Musician

Answer the following questions:

1.) Tyagaraja is regarded as an immortal musician since his melodies and music are still present in people’s hearts and minds. His songs continue to have the same impact as they had 200 years ago. All South Indians have gone to visit his village, Thiruvaiyaru, every year to laud him and sing devotional songs, making it a well-known destination.

2.) The story’s most appealing part was when Tyagaraja interprets a dream and calls out the idol from the river. Here, we saw the degree of his commitment to and affection for Lord Rama. He wrote new hymns and praised for Lord Rama out of pure devotion and affection. As a result, we learned about his music and the purity he shared with Lord Rama.

3.) Others who are well-known for their spiritual music include Shyama Shastri Muthus Dikshitar and Ramas Dikshitar.

Bhakta Ramadasu and Tyagaraja are both renowned for their unwavering devotion to and commitment to Lord Rama. Both made the decision to put aside worldly possessions and accept a humble existence while composing and singing in adoration of their Lord.
