Peace Of Harmony

I.) Answer the following questions.

1.) Before the jackal entered the forest, the animals were very happy and they lived together.

(i) They roamed about the jungle together.

(ii) The animals played with each other.

(iii) The animals often held musical evenings in a large open field.

2.) After the jackal came to the forest, the animals started to roam around individually and also started suspecting one another, as the jackal poisoned their minds.

3.) The jackal wanted to break the harmony of the animal kingdom and hunt down the smaller animals and the birds.

4.) The animals made the decision to approach the Sadhu in order to kill the jackal.

5.) The moon was disguised as a Sadhu. He chose that form because he wanted to keep an eye on the animal kingdom, and also because the moon was one of the special guests of the musical evenings.

6.) The Sadhu asked the jackal to take him for his meal so thatthe animals, birds and insects live in peace and harmony like before.

7.) The Sadhu taught the animals in the forest to live in peace and harmony with each other, and that they should never break their bond.

8.) Yes, the Sadhu sacrificed his life for the sake of animals in the forest, because he loved the animals in the forest and watching each one of them dying made him cry. So, he sacrificed himself so that the jackal’s stomach would start to bloat and burst, eventually leading to the jackal’s death.
